Our management team has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry in R&D, Operations and Business Development. 

 

Ravishanker Kovi has over 15 years of pharmaceutical industrial research experience in areas of Medicinal Chemistry, Organic Chemisty, QC/QA, Pharmacokinetics and Drug metabolism (Clinical and Pre-clinical).

He joined Apicore in 2004 as a co-founding member, moving from Vertex Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. He leads a team of 40 professionals with advanced degrees including Ph.D and Post Doctorates in the field of Chemistry. Ravi leads the R&D and Quality Control/Quality Assurance teams in the USA and India. He has established systems and controls in Apicore LLC and Apicore Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. to ensure compliance with cGMPs.

Ravi has led the development of a rich pipeline of APIs which has generated revenue for the business from the first year of its operation. He holds an M.S (Pharmacy), (Ph.D).

 

Sanjay has more than 28 years of broad experience in all aspects of API manufacturing (Sterile, non sterile) including; plant design, construction and operation. Prior to joining Apicore, Sanjay was Executive Vice President of Operations at Zydus Cadila, India’s 4th largest pharmaceutical company. He holds a M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry. Sanjay is responsible for Operations at Apicore LLC in Somerset, NJ, USA and Apicore Pharmaceuticals Private Limited in Vadodara, Gujarat, India.

Sanjay’s application of his expertise in the management of Production, Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain and Procurement has enabled Apicore to establish the capacity required to serve our existing customers while developing strategies for accommodating our future growth.
