Apicore US LLC headquartered in New Jersey, USA, and its contract manufacturing organization, Apicore Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd (Gujarat, India) are dedicated to developing and manufacturing active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) at our facilities, located in Somerset, NJ and Gujarat, India for the worldwide pharmaceutical industry.  We are a rapidly growing company with double digit growth rate year after year with exponential growth possibilities due to our recent initiatives to expand. We are currently searching for a qualified Accountant that is looking for the ability to learn and grow within our organization. 

 

PURPOSE

The Accountant is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting and analysis. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. This is hands-on role and addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.

  Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close as per US GAAP and consolidation with Indian subsidiary.

  Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information with requisite supporting analysis & details within tight timelines.

  Inventory accounting and valuation.

  Supports budget and forecasting activities.

  Fixed assets and depreciation accounting.

  Responds to inquiries regarding financial results, special reporting requests and the like.

  Work with CFO to ensure a clean and timely year end audit.

  Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.

  Support CFO with special projects and workflow process improvements.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA or CA preferred.

Technical Skills and Prior Experience
3 to 5 years experience in the financial reporting/general ledger area with good understanding of US GAAP in a manufacturing company. Knowledge of Indian GAAP and experience in pharmaceutical Industry would be preferred.

Must be PC proficient and able to thrive in a fast -pace setting. Experience with QuickBooks enterprise or other automated accounting system a plus. Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required. Proven problem solving skills.
